Our Story

Reher Atelier began long before it had a name.

We met through our church community and quickly discovered a shared love for creating. Jake through painting and illustration, and Chelsea through photography and visual storytelling. Over time, that shared love grew into something bigger than either of us expected. Not just a creative partnership, but a shared way of seeing the world.

As husband and wife, we have built Reher Atelier as a place where our individual creative practices can grow alongside a shared artistic vision.

Many of our conversations happen on walks, in coffee shops, or while working side by side. We find ourselves returning to the same questions. Why are we drawn to beauty? Why do certain places, moments, and stories stay with us? How can art help us pay closer attention to the world around us?

For us, those questions are deeply connected to our faith. We believe creation reflects the beauty, goodness, and creativity of its Creator. Through art, we seek to slow down and notice what is often overlooked. A quiet landscape, a meaningful connection between people, the changing of seasons, or the details of everyday life. These moments remind us that beauty is not something we invent, but something we are invited to discover.

That belief shapes much of what we create.

Through our work, we seek to preserve the moments and details that point us back to wonder. Whether we are documenting a fleeting moment with a camera or bringing an idea to life by hand, our hope is always the same. To create work that invites people to slow down, linger, and see more deeply.

At its heart, Reher Atelier is a shared creative practice rooted in faith, curiosity, and gratitude. It is a place where our individual mediums come together, where ideas are explored by hand, and where beauty is gathered, preserved, and shared. Our hope is that the work we create encourages others to notice the richness of the world around them and, in doing so, catch a glimpse of the Creator behind it.
